I am an abstract landscape painter.
My current work is derived from the exploration of physical space and from spiritual experiences. My intention is to portray in abstract form internal and external landscapes: a sense of time and place.
For many years I worked in an abstract illustrative style with characters and symbols of my creation. I experimented in pure abstraction from time to time, but was enamored by my characters and the stories they told.
In 2016, while at The Ghost Ranch in New Mexico my art diverged- my hard graphic lines ruptured and merged with geometric shapes and the result was a series of pure spiritual abstract paintings.
